Oral history interview with Charles L. Sauvie conducted by Jim Strassmaier on May 3, 1988, as part of the Senator Mark O. Hatfield Oral History Project. Sauvie was an economist for the Oregon State Department of Planning and Development; a speechwriter for Hatfield while he was governor of Oregon; and an economic adviser for Governors Bob Straub and Tom McCall.
