 Collection
Identifier: Mss 2869

Scope and Contents

Small collection of papers concerning members of the Reynolds family. A significant portion are legal papers, several of which relate to the marriage and divorce of Guy E. Reynolds and Anna Wright Reynolds. These include copies of their 1901 marriage certificate, with certifications that the copies are correct transcripts of the original; divorce documents dated 1906; and a 1908 agreement between Anna Reynolds and Guy E. Reynolds' parents, Byron P. Reynolds and Cleora F. Reynolds, concerning custody of and alimony payments for Anna and Guy's daughter, Alice Louise Reynolds. The legal documents also include a copy of a delayed or special birth certificate for Anna Reynolds, dated 1943, along with associated correspondence and other documents; and an October 1905 will for Byron Reynolds (in which his first name is spelled "Byrum"). Other materials consist of a handwritten recipe book of Anna Reynolds, and a diary of John Reynolds, circa 1874, largely blank, which includes some diary entries but was also used for calculations, reminders, and other notes.
