Records of the Willamette Pulp and Paper Company of West Linn, Oregon, including outgoing correspondence, a ledger recording the amount of wood cut, contracts, and financial records. The company was founded in 1889, and later merged with the Crown-Columbia Paper Company and then with the Crown Zellerbach Corporation.

James Winston letter to Louis Dement
Manuscript letter from James Winston to his grandson, Louis Dement, written in Chinook Jargon. Winston (1823-1892) arrived in Oregon City from Richmond, Virginia, in 1846 at age 21. He married Mary Johnson, daughter of Rev. Hezekiah Johnson, a pioneer Baptist missionary of 1845.

Typescript correspondence between John Dolan and the Library of Congress, Oregon Senator John Mitchell, and the Ohio Historical Society, 1901-1908, regarding the price and sale of a manuscript orderly book kept by Winthrop Sargent while he was secretary of the Northwest Territory and adjutant general of the Indian Expedition of 1791 under General St. Clair.
