Wynn D. Freeman family papers
Wynn D. Freeman (1868-) was a teacher and attorney in Oregon, and he practiced law from 1898 to the 1930s. He was the son of Lewis A. Freeman and the father of Kent Stanley Freeman. Collection includes an account book, 1899, of Wynn D. Freeman; miscellaneous receipts and ephemera, 1892-1914; and certificates for Wynn D. Freeman, Lewis A. Freeman, Kent Stanley Freeman, and Goldie Larkin, circa 1892-1915.
Gantenbein family papers
Collection includes correspondence, memorabilia, and an account book later used as a picture scrapbook. Correspondence includes letters, most in German with translations, between John E. Gantenbein and Mary Stier, and between Gantenbein and family, friends, and colleagues. Also included is correspondence between J. Edward Gantenbein and Helen Louise Pittock concerning personal matters.
Wells Smith Gilbert papers
Collection includes miscellaneous records and documents regarding Wells Smith Gilbert and his involvement in various associations. Gilbert (1870-1965) was president of the Olean Lumber Company and manager of the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company's Oregon properties.

Manuscript diary, 1879, regarding a trip from Hantsport, Nova Scotia to Portland, Oregon, with accounts; manuscript ledger, 1890-1895, of passengers and cargo carried by steamers of the Oregon City Transportation Company, including the steamers Altona, Latona and Ramona.
J. H. D. Gray papers
Copy book of financial records and letters kept by Captain J. H. D. Gray of Astoria, Oregon, 1887-1890, including shipping and real estate records, some for the Astoria Real Estate Company. Also included is an appointment document for J. H. D. Gray to pilot commissioner by Oregon Governor W. W. Thayer, 1880.
H. Law & Company journals and account books
Collection includes account books, 3 volumes, 1859-1865; and journal, 1863-1864. Final volume was partly used as a scrapbook by George Himes of the Oregon Historical Society. Henry Law was an early Portland, Oregon, commission merchant.

Absolom Hallock papers
Papers of Absolom Hallock include mixed journals and account books; correspondence relating to business, personal matters, and the Portland Fire Department; and receipts. Hallock (1826-1892) was a mechanic, draftsman, civil engineer, and surveyor. He served on the Portland Common Council as chief of the Fire Department, and was the first postmaster of the Barnegat post office in Tillamook County, Oregon.
