Scope and Contents

The collection contains account ledgers and a daybook of the Caledonia Saloon in Cathlamet, Washington; correspondence, primarily with liquor suppliers, many of them in Portland, Oregon; and records of the Horace Hallett estate. Accounts contain names of people prominent in the Cathlamet area. Among the papers are letters or bills from W. J. Van Schuyver, Portland, Oregon; and H. B. Parker, Astoria, Oregon.
