Materials related to several old Portland families, primarily, Robertson, Burns, Couch, Failing, Corbett, and Wood. Also included are Adams, Lewis, Reed, Warren, and Wilson. Photographs document individuals, family groups, and activities. Numerous photographic albums are also included. The documents are primarily made up of correspondence between individuals, as well as ephemera and diaries.
Robertson family papers
Papers of a family of pioneers of Polk County, Oregon. Most of the materials are letters from family members in Illinois, New Jersey, Missouri, and Oregon. Many of the letters were sent to Amanda Robertson, Mary Ann Robertson and James P. Robertson, including many from E. R. Metcalf of Jacksonville, Illinois; from Libbie Teeple, of Pluckemin, New Jersey; and from members of the Riggs family.
Harry Clarke Robertson scrapbook
Harry Clarke Robertson was clerk to U.S. Senator John Hipple Mitchell of Oregon. Collection consists of a scrapbook containing photographs, newspaper clippings, postcards and ephemera regarding a 1902 visit to Hawaii of the Senate Committee on Pacific Islands and Puerto Rico, politics, Washington, D.C. social life, and Theodore Roosevelt.

Also included are miscellaneous documents regarding the flax industry. Robinson owned an electric company in Aurora, Oregon. He traveled to Europe to study flax culture and linen manufacture.

The materials were compiled, and some created, by Gerald H. Robinson, an attorney and photographer from Portland, Oregon. Robinson worked for Morse as an advisor and attorney.
