Manuscript diary describing Horace Lyman's sea voyage from New York to San Francisco aboard the vessel Whitton and from San Francisco to the Columbia River aboard the Toulon. Lyman (1815-1887) was a congregational clergyman and teacher. He founded the First Congregational Church, Portland, Oregon, in 1851.

An octogenarian's childhood on the western frontier
Collection consists of Elizabeth Reed Brent's reminiscences of her childhood in Picard, California, now called Dorris, from the late 1890s to 1906. Brent's family moved from Iowa to Keno, Oregon, in 1891, and she was born in Keno in 1895. From there, the family moved to Picard and later to Chico, California.
Pendleton and Klamath-area photographs
Collection comprises five black-and-white photographs, including aerial views of both Pendleton and Klamath Falls, Oregon, circa 1900, as well as the Klamath Hot Springs Hotel, in Beswick, Siskiyou County, California.
Hayes Perkins diaries
