James Beard papers
Papers of chef and author James Beard (1903-1985), including clippings and typescripts of articles and recipes that he wrote; materials relating to books that he wrote; appointment books; correspondence; menus he collected; photographs; and biographical information. Beard grew up in Portland, Oregon, but spent most of his adult life living in New York City. He championed regional American dishes, and became known as the "Dean of American cookery."

The purchases most likely relate to either Schuss Wholesale Grocery Company or Mason, Ehrman & Co., both of which were wholesale grocery firms based in Portland, Oregon, that Ehrman worked for.

Collection of Oregon-related cookbooks, menus, postcards, and ephemera. The collection was compiled by historian Richard H. Engeman of Oregon, and also includes a printouts of blog entries that he wrote about Oregon food history.
Kelly B. Janes collection of recipes and cookbooks
Loose recipe sheets and two cookbooks that belonged to Kelly B. Janes, a resident of Portland, Oregon, or to his family. The loose recipe sheets were produced by Mary Cullen's Cottage, the household arts service of the Oregon Journal newspaper in Portland. One of the cookbooks, for durum wheat main dishes, was distributed by the Portland-based Porter-Scarpelli Macaroni Company. The other cookbook is for recipes using the soda drink 7UP.

Platts (1880-1950), and her granddaughter, Mary Riesland King (1913-2017), and photographs of all three. Sarah Maria Kelty was the sister of Harvey Scott and Abigail Scott Duniway, and lived in Lafayette, Oregon, and Portland, Oregon.
