Lone Pine Farm photograph album

Album containing primarily engravings and photographs clipped from newspapers and other publications, and a small number of photographic prints. The clippings are of notable people, most of them women, particularly wives of United States politicians and presidents, and royalty and nobility of various nations. The photographs, most on pages labeled "Lone Pine Farm," depict a house and grounds, as well as unidentified people.

Lovejoy Columns restoration and relocation records

Abstract Records, photographs, and ephemera related to efforts to conserve and relocate the Lovejoy Columns. The Lovejoy Columns were ten pillars for the Lovejoy Viaduct in Portland, Oregon, that were painted by Greek American Tom E. Stefopoulos from 1948 to 1952. When the Lovejoy viaduct was demolished in 1999, local artists, including members of the architectural collective Rigga, successfully campaigned for these pillars to be left intact. Papers include documents relating to legislation; Public Affairs Bulletin, 1956-1974; and newspaper clippings regarding the Oregon Legislature. An unprocessed addition to the collection includes speeches, poems, and manuscripts by Luiten, as well as articles, clippings, correspondence, and a scrapbook. Luiten (1915-1997) did public relations work for Weyerhaeuser and then became a Weyerhaeuser lobbyist to the Oregon Legislature, serving from 1953 to 1978.

Album compiled by George A. Mallett that contains 500 black and white photographs, as well as maps, ephemera, and newspaper clippings. Approximately the first half of the album depicts sites and scenes in Oregon in 1948-1949, particularly Portland. The remainder of the album depicts landscapes, buildings, tourist and historic sites, and ships in numerous other states, as well as photographs of powerhouses, engines, generators and other equipment, probably related to Mallett's job.
