Jay Bowerman papers
Jay Bowerman (1876-1957) was a Republican attorney, Oregon state representative for Gilliam County, and acting governor of Oregon, 1910-1911. Papers include correspondence regarding his activities in support of Republican candidates, his law practice and family; correspondence and research notes for a proposed history of eastern Oregon bench and bar; newspaper clippings and political ephemera regarding campaigns; and a scrapbook regarding the 1909 Oregon Legislature.

Collection consists of materials regarding Marjorie Smith's trial, collected and maintained by her attorney, J. Elliott Busey. Materials include a scrapbook, correspondence, witness statements, and estate papers.

In 1944, the Cascades Plywood Corporation purchased Evan Products Company of Portland. In 1945, Cascades merged with the Oak Ridge Timber Company. Tucker, president; scrapbook; agreements and minutes; and ownership summaries.
