Nan M. Brewster cartoons and clippings
Ink cartoons and pencil sketches by Nan M. Brewster (1903-2005) of Portland, Oregon, who wrote and illustrated a weekly column, "Faces and Places," in the Oregonian newspaper in the 1930s and 1940s. Also included are clippings of Brewster's column and articles about her.

Brig Sequin passenger lists
Originals, photostatic reproductions, and photocopies of two manuscript passenger lists for voyages of the brig Sequin, commanded by Captain Z. C. Norton, to Portland, Oregon (then the Oregon Territory). Norton (1808-1879) built the Sequin in 1847, and made trips to ports in the Caribbean and South America before sailing for San Francisco, California. Norton carried freight and passengers on several trips between San Francisco and Portland from 1849 to 1850.

Papers include donation land claims and accounts for Jarvis Briggs, 1847-1856; deposition of Francis W. Pettygrove, 1858, regarding the character of Albert Briggs; agreement between Aurelia Briggs and Seth Markham, 1863, regarding sawmill rights.
