Scope and Contents

The bulk of the collection consists of papers related to two organizations to which Brindley belonged: Older Lesbians Organizing for Change (OLOC) and Senior Housing and Retirement Enterprises (SHARE), which worked to provide affordable housing for LGBTQ seniors. Materials include membership papers, printouts of e-mails, meeting notes, newspaper clippings, newsletters, and event programs. Personal papers in the collection include materials relating to the wedding of Mary Beth Brindley and Evelyn Louise Hall.

Biographical Note

Mary Beth Brindley was born in 1939. She was a charter member of Older Lesbians Organizing for Change (OLOC) and a member of Senior Housing and Retirement Enterprises (SHARE), both of which were active in the 2000s. Her partner was Evelyn Louise Hall (1938-2008).
