Letter from U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945) to Albert Bauer (1900-1993) about the importance of manufacturing amphibious combat transports. Bauer was the general manager of the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation, which built ships and other watercraft for the U.S. armed forces during World War II.

Unprocessed collection of miscellaneous records of the Rooster Rock Cannery, which was located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, in the small bay between Tunnel Point and Rooster Rock. It was built by Antone Fastabend for Samuel Elmore, who had a large cannery business in Astoria, Oregon.

Alexander Ross diary of the Snake Country expedition

Abstract

Typescript photocopy of journal entries made by Alexander Ross from March 11, 1824, to April 22, 1824, during an expedition in the Pacific Northwest. Ross (1783-1856) was born in Scotland and became known as a pioneer and fur trader in Canada and the Pacific Northwest. He worked for the North West Company and Hudson's Bay Company.
