Scope and Contents
One mounted black and white photograph, circa 1900-1922, of six unidentified members of the crew of the S. S. Quito. They are on the deck, facing front and in uniform. The two men in front are seated in wicker chairs, and the other four are standing in a row behind them. Handwritten on the back of the mounting are the words: "With compliments from Victor Van Egdom / S. S. Quito / Portland (Oregon)."

Historical note
The S. S. Quito was built by Russell & Co. in 1900 for the Ocean Navigation Co. On August 7, 1922, Quito with a crew of 28, sank 150 miles from the Tyne.
