The collection consists of a program, tickets, and a playbill proof that belonged to Corey Brunish, a theater producer from Portland, Oregon. The tickets and program are for a Portland Arts & Lecture Series event featuring composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, titled "Stephen Sondheim in Conversation with Frank Rich." The proof is for the playbill for Brunish's 2009 Portland production of the Sondheim musical "Company," and it is autographed by Brunish and the other cast and crew.

Biographical Note

Corey Brunish is a theater producer from Portland, Oregon. In 2009, he produced and directed Stephen Sondheim's musical "Company" at the Scottish Rite Center and the Winningstad Theatre in Portland. In 2022, Brunish won a Tony award for his Broadway production of "Company"; it was the fourth Tony he had won.

Abstract

Program and tickets for a lecture in Portland, Oregon, featuring musical composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim (1930-2021) and a proof of a playbill for a Portland production of Sondheim's musical "Company," with cast and crew autographs. The materials were compiled by theater producer Corey Brunish, who produced and directed "Company" in Portland in 2009, and who won a Tony for his Broadway production of "Company" in 2022.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

The tickets and program in the collection are glued together, and the program is glued to matboard. These materials cannot be separated without damage and must be used in their current configuration.

Materials were removed from frames during processing for preservation purposes.
