A. B. Steinbach and Company was a men's and boy's outfitters. Records consist of agreements, 1876-1940; correspondence, 1890-1949; deeds and leases, 1885-1951; mortgages, 1888-1925; titles, 1887-1895; receipts, 1880-1917; and miscellaneous documents, 1884-1939.
Earl R. Abbett letters
Collection consists of letters and correspondence between Earl R. Abbett and former railroad employees, 1940-1953, regarding railroad activities in the first half of the 20th century. Abbett was a dentist and employee of the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway.

Henry Larcom Abbot papers
The collection consists primarily of letters written by Henry Larcom Abbot (1831-1927) to his parents in 1855, journals he kept during his work on the Pacific Railroad Survey in California and Oregon in 1855-1856, and various field notes and celestial observations he took for the survey.
William P. Abrams collection
Collection includes photocopied genealogical information, letters, and diary extracts regarding the discovery of Yosemite in 1849. William Penn Abrams (1820-1873) came to Portland, Oregon, in 1851 on a ship with his family. He started a sawmill and was Oregon's first highway contractor; he also traveled extensively.
Catherine Julia Adams diary and letter
Diary kept by Catherine J. Adams regarding her daily activities in Hillsboro, Oregon, and participation in the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, as well as a typescript copy of a one-page letter from her father, William Bartlit.
Afro-American Heritage Bicentennial Commemorative Quilt Committee records
The Afro-American Heritage Bicentennial Commemorative Quilt Committee was formed in 1974 to make a quilt celebrating African American history to be finished to coincide with the American Revolution Bicentennial Celebration. Collection includes photocopy correspondence and financial records; a printed pamphlet for the exhibition of the quilt at the Oregon Historical Society; and a scrapbook containing newspaper clippings and other ephemera.
