Collection includes correspondence, lectures, speeches, information leaflets, newsletters, articles and testimonies, primarily regarding Hideo Hashimoto's work for peace and human rights, particularly with the American Friends Service Committee and Fellowship of Reconciliation, war protests, nuclear disarmament, etc. Also included are materials relating to his early life, education, and incarceration during World War II.

Biographical note
Hideo Hashimoto (born 1911) was a Methodist minister and peace activist. During World War II, he was incarcerated by the U.S. government at the Jerome Relocation Center in Denson, Arkansas. After the war, he became a professor of religious studies at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

Abstract
Hideo Hashimoto (born 1911) was a Methodist minister and peace activist. During World War II, he was incarcerated by the U.S. government at the Jerome Relocation Center in Denson, Arkansas. After the war, he became a professor of religious studies at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Collection includes correspondence, lectures, speeches, information leaflets, newsletters, articles and testimonies, primarily regarding Hashimoto's work for peace and human rights.
