Biographical note

Paul Bragdon worked as a practicing attorney in New York City, and held top staff positions in the New York City's mayor's office, including legislative representative and press secretary. He worked in higher education as the vice president at New York University from 1967 to 1971. He was the president of Reed College in Portland from 1971 to 1988.
