Abstract Abraham Walter Lafferty (1875-1964) practiced law in Portland and was elected as a Republican to the sixty-second and sixty-third Congresses (March 4, 1911-March 3, 1915). He moved to New York City in 1919 and continued the practice of law there until 1933. He returned to Portland and later unsuccessfully ran for political office several times.
