Carl Allen Schram (1892-1957) was born in Oregon City and formed the Parker-Schram Company, construction contractors, with Charles Parker in 1920. Among the company's best-known projects were the Lake Washington pontoon bridge and the water-level highway from Portland to The Dalles.
