The Deschutes River Scenic Waterway Advisory Task Force was formed in 1980 by the state of Oregon in response to concerns about the increased use of the river by recreational boaters. Records (1977-1982) include correspondence, meeting agendas and handouts, press releases, memos, newspaper articles, reports, legal documents, regulatory information, public hearing reports, and a visitor use study.

Collection of black and white photographs that were published in the Oregon Journal newspaper and are related to the Detroit Dam. The images show Detroit, Oregon, before the dam was built, the excavation of the dam site, construction and dedication of the dam, and the resulting lake. Many of the photographs were taken by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
