Caleb Cushing collection
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of an inventory of papers of Caleb Cushing held at the Library of Congress, with notes and remarks; typescript correspondence about the Cushing papers; and photostat and typescript copies of correspondence pertaining to Oregon in the Cushing papers. The copied correspondence dates from 1843-1847, and includes letters or portions of letters from John Newmarch Cushing, Hall Jackson Kelley, George W. LeBreton, John M. Shiveley, and other correspondents.
