Collection includes correspondence, primarily to Owen Brown from various members of the Brown family, regarding family history and a book on the Tabitha Moffat and Clark Brown family by Ella Spooner; and some miscellaneous family documents. Owen Brown was the great-grandson of Tabitha Moffat Brown.

Collection includes research and notes on African Americans in Oregon before the Civil War, 1962, and a typewritten term paper, "Negroes in Oregon before the Civil War," 45 pages, 1962.
Brownsville Presbyterian Church records
Collection includes photocopied typescript minutes, 1857-1888; a centennial history; and a photocopied membership roll, 1961. Also included is a transcription of an obituary and a poem about church member Sarah Blakely, wife of James Blakely, that were found inside a Blakely family Bible.
