Celilo Railroad Bridge collection
The Celilo Bridge, also called the Oregon Trunk Rail Bridge, crosses the Columbia River just south of where Celilo Falls was located. Collection includes a general plan of the bridge and a typescript description of the bridge's construction with descriptions of photographic views.
Consolidated Freightways records
Records include a scrapbook (1941-1945) kept by Arthur Bremner to document the history of Consolidated Freightways during World War II, and a scrapbook (1931-1971) kept by John Youell to document the history of the company. The records also include two loan applications (1941 and 1943) and correspondence (1997) referencing the history of Consolidated Freightways.
Convoy Company records
Records of the Convoy Company, an Oregon business originally established in 1930 as a subsidiary of Consolidated Truck Lines, which specialized in shipping automobiles by truck. The company became independent in 1941, and was sold in the early 1990s. The records in this collection include employee lists and directories, information booklets, promotional materials, company calendars, and a small quantity of correspondence.
O. Edward Dagner papers
Collection consists of papers of O. Edward Dagner, an automotive engineer and maintenance specialist of the Office of Defense Transportation, Portland district, 1942-1944. The papers include correspondence; truck operating cost estimates, particularly for logging truck costs in Oregon and California; and speeches, including radio broadcasts of the Office of Defense Transportation.
