Administrative History
The Historical Automobile Club of Oregon is an antique automobile appreciation organization that hosts community tours and events to promote the history of automobiles. The club was founded in 1945 by Kenneth Mutch, the organization’s first president. Mutch worked as a service manager at Wentworth & Irwin in Portland, Oregon. He became interested in the history of automobiles when he began borrowing antique automobiles to display in the showroom when new cars were unavailable due to rationing during World War II.
