Abstract
Memorabilia relating to Laurence J. Tynan's membership in Battleship Oregon Naval Post No. 1478 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) of Portland, Oregon. This includes two membership cards, a letter from Louis J. Gulliver of the U.S. Frigate Constitution, and a small piece of the Battleship Oregon's "Homeward Bound" pennant. Tynan (1898-1965) was a naval veteran of World War I, and was captain of Battleship Oregon Naval Post No. 1478 in the early 1930s.
