Abigail Scott Duniway papers
A small collection of papers of Abigail Scott Duniway, who was an emigrant to Oregon, an editor, and an advocate of women's suffrage. Includes records of the Oregon State Equal Suffrage Association, records of the Duniway Publishing Company, and copy of a typescript transcription of Duniway's overland diary, 1852.
John William Meldrum diaries
Manuscript diaries and scrapbooks of John William Meldrum, 5 volumes, 1865-1912. Meldrum, 1839-1919, was born in Burlington, Iowa. Contents include of the diaries and scrapbooks incude reports of Clackamas County officials, 1889-1893; delinquent tax lists, 1893; newspaper clippings; accounts, 1893-1894; and a description of a trip to Crater Lake, 1911.
Thomas Monteith papers
Papers of Thomas Monteith include manuscript accounts of materials sold to the U.S. during the Indian Wars, 1856; appointments as officer in the Oregon Militia, 1863-1864; and manuscript list of persons accompanying Captain Scott to California in 1847. Brothers Thomas Monteith, Walter Monteith, and John Monteith founded the city of Albany in 1848.
