Collection consists of photographs and glass lantern slides taken or collected by Herbert A. Maddock. Subjects include Maddock family snapshots and the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Also included are glass lantern slide advertisements and scenic views produced by the Enterprise Slide Company.

This collection is made up of glass lantern slides created for the Portland Garden Club in the 1930s. The club was founded in 1924. Subjects depicted in the collection include the Kerr Gardens, the Frank and Meier estates, and various urban, suburban, and country gardens.
