Papers of sculptor Leona Ambrose (1936-2021), including personal correspondence, writings, and photographs; professional papers; and photographs of her works. Ambrose, who also made mosaics and paintings, had her work exhibited at the Contemporary Crafts Gallery, the Portland Art Museum, and the Butters Gallery in Portland, Oregon; at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon; and at the Pindar Gallery in New York.

Manuscript and photocopy poem, "The Butter Creek Panic," by Arthur Crisfield. Per a note with the collection, Crisfield was a lawyer in Portland, Oregon, and was interested in a ranch on Butter Creek.

Papers of Samuel A. Clarke (1827-1909) and Harriet T. Clarke (1832-1890), including diaries, correspondence, writings, and genealogical materials. Samuel A. Clarke came to Oregon in 1850, and worked in the newspaper industry. In 1852, he married Harriet Talcott Buckingham, who had come to Oregon in 1851.

Two letters and a poem by Andrew A. Hall (1879-1932). Hall was a Scottish-American physician who served in the Canadian army as a medical officer during World War I; after the war he resided at and was vice president of the University Club in Portland, Oregon.

Collection includes pamphlets, poems, and invitations printed by Dogwood Press, Seattle, Washington, owned by Frank McCaffrey, 1931-1970, including one pamphlet on the origins of the name "Dogwood Press."

Manuscript speech, October 24, 1937, regarding the descendants of Daniel Boone, with typescript transcript. The speech was delivered at the unveiling of a marker to Jesse V. Boone at the intersection of Boone's Ferry Road and Taylor's Ferry Road, Portland, Oregon.
