William Engle collection
Reminiscences of Frank Jackson about his grandfather, William Engle, 1961, as compiled by Virginia Carson, Jackson's niece. Engle was an Oregon pioneer who came to Molalla, Oregon, in 1845. He served in the Territorial Legislature in 1847 and was a judge of Marion County for two years.
The life story of Francis Ermatinger
Typescript term paper titled "The Life Story of Francis Ermatinger," by Elizabeth Katt. Ermatinger, born in Portugal in 1798, joined the Hudson's Bay Company in 1818 and worked in various Pacific Northwest and Canadian locations until his retirement in 1853.

Aceneth Hosford papers
Collection consists of a biographical sketch of Aceneth Hosford and a photocopy family record with genealogical information. Aceneth Hosford (1828-1896), nee Glover, was an emigrant to Oregon, settling in Mt. Tabor. Her husband was Reverend Chauncy O. Hosford. Spellings of her first name vary and include Acenith, Aceneth, Asenath, and Acenath.
Samuel Christopher Lancaster collection
Samuel Christopher Lancaster (1864-1941) was a highway engineer and builder of the famed Columbia River Highway. Collection includes a typescript biography, "Samuel Christopher Lancaster: Master of Arts in Public Places," by SuAnn M. Reddick, circa 1980-1990; National Register of Historic Places inventory of Zion National Park, for which Lancaster was a consulting engineer, circa 1930-1968; newspaper clippings, circa 1940-1990; and miscellaneous research on Lancaster.
Carl Laub papers
Carl Laub (born 1898) came to Oregon at the age of 7, worked as a salesman, newspaperman, publisher, editor, and radio producer, and wrote the newspaper column "I Ain't Mad at Nobody." Collection includes drafts of a biography of Laub; radio show scripts for KUIK and KWJJ; writings, including Oregon histories, human interest, humor, poetry, news commentary, and Laub's column; and correspondence.

Dorothy McCullough Lee was a lawyer, a state legislator, and the first woman mayor of Portland, Oregon. Collection includes biographical sketches; photocopy of Lee's last will and testament, 1972; inventory of Lee's papers at the Schlesinger Library of the Harvard Radcliffe Institute; and ephemera.
