Oral history interview with Victor Atiyeh conducted by Clark Hansen from November 24, 1992, to September 10, 1993, and on June 11, 1998, as part of the Oregon Legislature Oral History Series. Atiyeh was an Oregon state representative from 1959 to 1964, an Oregon state senator from 1965 to 1979, and Oregon governor from 1979 to 1987.

Papers of and relating to Charles H. Martin (1863-1946), Ellis G. Hughes (1845-1909), and their families. Charles H. Martin served in the U.S. military from the 1890s to 1920s, attaining the rank of major general, and subsequently served as a U.S. representative and then as governor of Oregon. Ellis G. Hughes, who was Martin's father-in-law, was a prominent real estate attorney in Portland, Oregon.

Correspondence, property records, reports, and ephemera relating to Ellis G. Hughes and Charles H. Martin of Portland, Oregon. Hughes was a real estate lawyer. His son-in-law Martin was an officer in the U.S. Army, a U.S. congressman, and governor of Oregon from 1935-1939.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Martin was elected as a representative in the U.S. Congress in 1930 and 1932, and was elected governor of Oregon in 1934. He was defeated in the primary for the 1938 Democratic gubernatorial election and retired from politics after the end of his term.
