A scrapbook kept by Grace Howard Gray (1857-1949) to document family history and historic events, including mementos, drawings and ephemera collected during her lifetime. The scrapbook contains items related to the life of General O. O. Howard (1830-1909), Gray's father, and drawings by Guy Howard (1855-1899), her brother, and Charles Erskine Scott Wood (1852-1944). Additional materials were added to the scrapbook by other family members.

Julius Cone Harvey (1862-1932) was a Methodist clergyman and graduate of Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He married Mary E. Heald in 1884 and migrated to western Washington. Collection includes memories of Mary E. Heald Harvey describing her childhood and youth in Iowa and Kansas and her early married life; letters of Clifton Harvey while at sea, 1939; blank verse and acrostic letters of Atwood Harvey, 1932-1934; and a family scrapbook.
