Chamber Music Northwest records
Collection consists of correspondence, minutes and financial reports, 1976-1977; newsletter, 1 volume, 1976, with events and biographies of participating musicians. Sergiu Luca, an acclaimed Israeli violinist, founded Chamber Music Northwest in 1971 after coming to Portland for a music recital.
Woody Hite collection
Photographs, clippings, posters, and ephemera documenting Woody Hite and his big band, who were active in northwestern Oregon from the 1930s and 1940s; the band was revived in the early 1970s by Hite's brother Don Hite. Photographs include images of Duke Ellington and his band in Portland, Oregon, in 1941.
