Hubert Frederick Burgess (1864-1945) served as a Sunday School missionary in Oregon. Collection consists of ordination minutes of the First Congregational Church of Portland, 1892; a manuscript diary, 1892; newspaper clippings, 1891-1893, regarding Burgess's work in Oregon; typescript reminiscences, 1934, regarding his wedding trip in 1894; and a funeral notice, 1945.

Letter from William Roberts (1812-1888) to William Kibbs, which includes Roberts' impressions of the Oregon Territory. Roberts was a Methodist missionary who was the superintendent of the Oregon Methodist Mission from 1847 to 1853, and was a trustee of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.

Typescript copies of materials relating to Oregon missionary William Alfred Tenney. Includes letters from Tenney to the American Home Missionary Society and to the magazine The Pacific. Also includes letters written by Tenney describing his missionary experiences.
