Photographs and ephemera of Huston Relf and Melvin Thompson, Black residents of a house at 25 NE Prescott Street, in the Albina neighborhood of northeast Portland, Oregon. Photographs include: family in Alabama and Oregon; outings and recreation; street scenes; and the Lac a Wonica Cleaners at 3632 N. Williams Avenue, run by Melvin and Katie Thompson. The materials were found in the house at 25 NE Prescott after it was sold by the estate of Huston Relf in 2000.

Herbert Retzlaff papers
Herbert Retzlaff studied accounting at the Oregon Institute of Technology and became a CPA in 1933. In 1939, he began working as an accountant for Fred Meyer Inc., later becoming a vice president of the company. Collection includes correspondence, including congratulations, invitations, etc. regarding Fred Meyer Inc. and some to the German Consulate; programs for award banquets at Fred Meyer Inc., a history of the company, and organizational charts; and a biography of Fred Meyer.
