Abstract

The Paul Keller collection includes 11 of the 22 "Old Oregon Vignettes" lithographs produced by Meier and Frank in 1959 after originals drawn by Keller in the 1930s; an ink and crayon sketch of the Patton house in Portland, Oregon; a pen and ink sketch of Portland Mayor Robert Earl Riley; and pen and ink sketches for use in the publication Stars of Oregon, 1943, primarily depicting ships.

Kelly family memorabilia and genealogical records

Memorabilia, genealogical materials, and photographs of the Kelly family and related families. The brothers Clinton Kelly (1808-1875), Thomas Kelly (1829-1903), Albert Kelly (1814-1873), and Gilmer Kelly (1820-1890) were early emigrants to Oregon, and all took land donation claims on or near land that would become part of Portland, Oregon.

Book of handwritten and clipped recipes kept by Sarah Maria Kelty (1847-1901), her daughter, Emily Q. Platts (1880-1950), and her granddaughter, Mary Riesland King (1913-2017), and photographs of all three. Sarah Maria Kelty was the sister of Harvey Scott and Abigail Scott Duniway, and lived in Lafayette, Oregon, and Portland, Oregon.

Harry C. Kendall (1883-1978) was a Portland, Oregon, banker, businessman and philanthropist. Collection is partially processed and includes correspondence, speeches, newspaper clippings, prospectuses, deeds, indentures, financial reports, a minute book for the Sigma Nu Alumni Association, Portland Industries Financing Service papers, advertisements for stocks and bond issues, and documents bequesting 37 acres on Guemes Island, Washington.
