Epperson, regarding publishing, personal matters, and a proposed series of articles on Haycox and other Oregon western writers. Also included is a typescript list by Jill Marie Haycox, wife of Ernest Haycox, circa 1964, of his writing record.

Henry E. Hayes diary
Original and typescript of Henry E. Hayes' diary, which covers his time gold mining near Nevada City, California, his coming to Oregon in 1851, and his activities making shingles in Clackamas County. Hayes (1831-1919), who was born in Hartford, Connecticut, eventually became a steamboat pilot, and had a farm at Stafford, Oregon.
