Charles Allan Hart, Jr. (1909-2002) served as an assistant U.S. attorney, counsel for the Bonneville Power Administration, a lawyer at multiple firms, and on the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. Collection includes correspondence and newspaper clippings, 1935-1937, regarding his proposed appointment to the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.

Thomas F. Hartung (born 1927), a Republican, was a longtime Oregon state legislator, primarily representing Washington County. Papers date from 1967 to 1974 and consist of correspondence and notes, including letters on public issues addressed to Hartung by constituents and political colleagues. Includes substantial material pertaining to agriculture, education, and taxation.
Steamer Harvest Queen plans
Plans related to the sternwheel steamboat Harvest Queen, originally designed by John Gates. They include a side view; a deck plan; a plan of the cabin, texas, and pilot house; and a lines plan taken from a model by Gates. It is unknown whether these plans are original or are later replicas. Also included in the collection is a photocopy of a Harvest Queen plan dated August 1900, showing top and side views of the steamer.
J. C. Harvey family papers
Julius Cone Harvey (1862-1932) was a Methodist clergyman and graduate of Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He married Mary E. Heald in 1884 and migrated to western Washington. Collection includes memories of Mary E. Heald Harvey describing her childhood and youth in Iowa and Kansas and her early married life; letters of Clifton Harvey while at sea, 1939; blank verse and acrostic letters of Atwood Harvey, 1932-1934; and a family scrapbook.
