Two letters and a poem by Andrew A. Hall (1879-1932). Hall was a Scottish-American physician who served in the Canadian army as a medical officer during World War I; after the war he resided at and was vice president of the University Club in Portland, Oregon.

Hallock (1826-1892) was a mechanic, draftsman, civil engineer, and surveyor. He served on the Portland Common Council as chief of the Fire Department, and was the first postmaster of the Barnegat post office in Tillamook County, Oregon.
