Biographical note

Arthur John Prideaux, a teacher and principal in Portland, was born in 1879 in Multnomah County. He was a graduate of Pacific University. Before becoming a teacher, he worked at the Portland Coffee and Spice Company as a clerk. He taught at South Mount Tabor School and was a principal for 34 years at Woodstock School. He died in 1977 in Milwaukie, Oregon.
