Scope and Contents

Collection includes correspondence, circa 1924-1951, of Kathryn Bowman, Dan Bowman, and Isabella Enke (nee Bowman); military papers, circa 1916-1920, of Dan Bowman; and financial documents, contracts, deeds, and agreements for the Bowmans and for Isabella Enke and her husband, Elwood Enke. The legal and financial documents include a lease agreement between the Wickwire Spencer Steel Company and Dan Bowman for a warehouse in Portland, specifications for the warehouse by architect L. L. Dougan, and regular correspondence from Wickwire to Dan and Kathryn Bowman that accompanied rent payments. The collection also contains miscellaneous family records and unprocessed correspondence.
