Laighton (spelled "Layton" in this document) of Seaside, Oregon, 1890, for a drainage ditch to be dug on their land; a typescript will of J. C. Kinney of Astoria, Oregon (Sarah E. Laighton's brother), 1901; and a typescript letter from Thomas S. Henderson to William J. Laighton, 1926, regarding the sinking of the British bark Lupatia off Tillamook Head in 1881.
