Marjorie Kaufman photographic collection
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of 11 mounted black and white photographs, circa 1901-1905. Five of the photographs depict the construction of a railroad bridge across the Willamette River near Willbridge, as well as workers at the site. The other six photographs, most taken by R. M. Ferguson, are of the ship George W. Elder in dry dock at the Port of Portland and people who worked on the ship, of whom only Pete Johnson is identified. Brief typewritten descriptions identifying people or scenes in the photographs are attached to the mountings of some of the images.
