Scope and Contents
One black and white panoramic photograph, taken by the L. A. Dix Photo Co. of Tacoma, circa 1917-1919, of Company F, 361st Infantry, United States National Army, at Camp Lewis in Tacoma, Washington. The photograph depicts four rows of soldiers, in uniform, standing and facing front. Seated in front is a row of officers. The officers are identified in handwritten notes below the image as: Capt. H. E. Williams, Co. Commander; 1st Lt. C. R. Gilbert; 1st Lt. E. E. Hunt; 2nd Lt. W. M. Mackay; 2nd Lt. R. C. M. Page; 2nd Lt. Jack Sweat; Capt. M. L. Kaiser; 2nd Lt. H. I. Davis; and 2nd Lt. M. A. Albee. Text in the lower right corner of the image reads: "F. Co. 361st Inf. U.S. N.A. / Camp Lewis Tacoma, Wash."

Biographical note
Harry E. Williams (1879-1972) was a businessman and veteran. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1898 in North Dakota and was sent to the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. He moved to Portland in 1904. During World War I, he served with the 361st Infantry, 91st Division. He owned the Mount Hood Lumber Company and was active in veterans organizations. He was elected National Commander of the United Spanish War Veterans and was involved with the American Legion.
