Kenneth L. Cooper photographic collection
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of 16 black and white photographs and one tintype, circa 1865-1945. A substantial number of the images depict Kenneth L. Cooper and office scenes probably at the U.S. Veterans Bureau. Three of the group photographs have handwritten notes at the bottom identifying them as the "Claims Division," "Medical Division," and "Regional Manager Group." Also included are a photograph of Cooper with his wife and niece; a photograph of his father, Daniel Jackson Cooper; a card photograph and the tintype, showing unidentified people; and a photograph of Kenneth L. Cooper with other injured football players for the Oregon Agricultural College, with a handwritten note on the back that reads: "OAC (casualties)."

Biographical note
Kenneth L. Cooper (1884-1972) was born in The Dalles, Oregon. He married Louise Cooper in 1906, served with the 364th Infantry during World War I, and was elected to the Portland City Commission in 1940. He served as Finance Commissioner and Fire Bureau Commissioner.
