Scope and Contents

Collection consists of a board or piece of cardstock with photographs and text about Multnomah Engine Company No. 2 and the opening of the company's new engine house. On one side of the board are mounted three black and white photographs, one showing the exterior of the engine house, and two showing the interior. Printed above the photographs are the words: "Multnomah Engine Co. No. 2 / Organized Sept. 13th, 1856." Printed below the photographs are the words: "Photographed May 12, 1875, by Buchtel & Stolte." The back of the board is filled with printed text, which includes a list of officers and members of the engine company, and reprints of May 1975 articles from the Daily Bulletin, Daily Oregonian, and Sunday Welcome about the engine company's history and its new engine house.
