Materials relating to the Portland Industrial Traffic Club, an organization of people working in the industrial transportation field in Portland, Oregon, including truckers. Administrative history
The Portland Industrial Traffic Club was founded in 1921. Its objectives were: "the furtherance of the best interests of the member firms through the interchange of ideas and experiences among members; to promote closer understanding and co-operation between carriers and shippers; to foster proper legislation, regulation and rulings for the free interchange of commerce." In 1967, the club merged with the Portland Transportation Club to form the Transportation Club of Portland.
