Two head-and-shoulders pencil portraits depicting unidentified black soldiers at St. Sulpice, Gironde, France, during World War I, 23.6 x 31.3 cm. Handwritten below each portrait are the words "Camp de St. Sulpice (Gironde)," the name of the artist, A. J. P. Carré, and the date "Sept. 1918."
