Administrative History
The North Pacific Yearly Meeting a meeting of Pacific Northwest congregations of the Religious Society of Friends (colloquially known as Quakers). Its roots in Oregon date to the formation of the Oregon Yearly Meeting of Friends Church in 1893. In 1947, Quakers in the western United States formed the Pacific Yearly Meeting of Friends; in 1973, Quakers in the Northwest began the North Pacific Yearly Meeting. The attendees of these meetings emphasize social action based on a divinely inspired love for one's neighbor.
