Abstract

Isabella Gauld (1886-1975) was the chair of canteen services in Portland during World War II. She received the King's Medal for her leadership of the Portland Chapter of the Bundles for Britain campaign. Papers include letters, 1941-1946, regarding her work with the Multnomah County Red Cross Canteen Corps in Portland; letters and documents, 1946, regarding her award of the King's Medal, including her acceptance speech and a certificate; and miscellaneous ephemera related to the canteen corps.
