She studied at Portland Community College and Pacific University, and is a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Oral history interview with Jaime Miranda conducted by Keven Salazar on August 1, 2018, for The Immigrant Story. Miranda immigrated to the United States from Mexico around 1985. He studied to become a teacher, but changed his career trajectory and opened the M & M Marketplace in Hillsboro, Oregon.
